Course Aim

To equip learners with the essential knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to a range of common first aid incidents before professional medical help arrives.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider.
  2. Assess an emergency situation safely.
  3. Provide appropriate first aid for common injuries and illnesses.
  4. Perform CPR and use an AED.
  5. Manage shock, bleeding, burns, choking, and unconsciousness.
  6. Record and report incidents in line with workplace requirements.

Requirements

  • Be 16 years or older
  • Have a basic understanding of English (reading/writing)
  • Be physically able to perform basic first aid tasks such as CPR (if applicable for face-to-face sessions)
  • No prior medical or first aid knowledge is required—this is an introductory awareness course
